Description
The history of ironing boards dates back to the 9th century used by the Vikings.
On the 16th of February 1858, W. Vandenburg and J. Harvey patented an ironing table that facilitated pressing sleeves and pant legs
The portable ironing board (Folding Ironing Tables) was patented on 12.05 1874, by African Canadian American engineer and inventor Elijah McCoy.
In 1892 Sarah Boone patented the ironing board we know today. She improved folding ironing board with a narrow, curved shape, designed to make it easy to iron shirts.
