Peak Tram

The Peak Tram's route from Central district to Victoria Peak covers a distance of about 1.4 kilometers and an elevation of just under 400 meters. The Peak Tram takes tourists and residents to the upper levels of Hong Kong Island and provides a direct route from Garden road admiralty to Victoria peak with views of Hong Kong and its harbor as it travels along the Mid-levels. The tram is operated and owned by Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels and started operating on the 30th of May 1888. The Peak Tram has 6 stations and carries about 17,000 passengers every day along the 1.4km route.
