The Petronas Towers or Petronas Twin Towers are twin skyscrapers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and were the tallest building in the world from 1988 to 2004. These buildings are now a landmark of Kuala Lumpur. 
Construction on the towers started on the 1st March 1993, and was completed three years later on the 1st March 1996. The towers opened on August 31st 1999 and were 451.9m (1,483 ft) tall with 93 floors (5 underground) with the top floor being 375m (1,230 ft) high.
