Names : Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor, born as Princess Elizabeth of York.

Elizabeth died on 8 September 2022 at Balmoral Castle, Aberdeenshire. She was succeeded by her eldest son, Charles III.

Queen Elizabeth II wa the longest (70 years and 214 days) and oldest reigning monarch and the longest-reigning female monarch in recorded history. 

She is extremely popular for nearly all of her long reign, very respected and loved all over the globe.

In September 2015, Elizabeth surpassed the record of 63 years and 216 days on the throne set by Queen Victoria (her great-great-grandmother) to become the longest-reigning British monarch in history.

In 1947, she married  Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, a former prince of Greece and Denmark,  their marriage lasted 73 years, until Philip's death in 2021.

They have four children: Charles, prince of Wales, Anne Princess Royal, Prince Andrew , Duke of York and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex. 

She became Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms on 6 February 1952, after dead of her father George VI at the age 25.

The Queen's coronation was 1953 and the celebrations of her Silver (25th anniversary ), Golden (50th anniversary), Diamond (60th anniversary), Sapphire (sixty-five years) and Platinum jubilees ( 70th anniversary) were in 1977, 2002, 2012, 2017 and 2022. 

Elizabeth was patron of more than 600 organisations and charities.

On 6 September 2022, she appointed her 15th British prime minister, Liz Truss

She served alongside 14 US presidents.
